Equipment is my passion and Hooiland has arisen after there has been a need for maintenance on big balers that later expanded to other agricultural equipment for the pecan industry. Unlike the norm in business, only service was delivered in the beginning, then spare parts were supplied, and lastly all-in-one was offered.
The emphasis is still on quality service, which in turn sets high demands on the business staff. In our pursuit of good service, there are sometimes major obstacles to overcome, and we endeavour to adapt, as the environment changes, whether to appoint more staff, to search for new products for a specific need, or enlarge the service stock.
It’s human to fail, but we try to learn from it and improve our service. A direct result of this is that we have a large number of staff (18) and continue to expand with the need.
Hooiland is aiming to have long-term relationships with both clients and suppliers and also to provide the best quality equipment to its clients with affordable maintenance.
